We need to talk about Cervical Spondylosis and the nagging neck pain that has become your unwanted colleague. Why is Your Neck Crying for Help? Our neck is designed for movement, not for being locked in a forward-leaning position for 10 hours a day. The modern IT lifestyle is a perfect storm for cervical issues. Here’s what happens inside your body: The 'Text Neck' Phenomenon: Every inch your head moves forward, the weight on your cervical spine increases by almost 10 kg. Imagine carrying a heavy backpack on your neck all day! Degeneration of Discs: Constant poor posture dries out the spongy discs between your vertebrae. They lose height and cushioning, leading to bone-on-bone friction. Muscle Spasms: Your trapezius and levator scapulae muscles (the ones in your shoulders and upper back) go into a permanent spasm trying to hold your head up.
